MIDFIELDER Andy Kellett apologised to Chesterfield supporters after failing to acknowledge them after last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Grimsby.
The Spireites were hit by a sucker-punch two minutes from time.
A despondent Kellett went straight down the tunnel but concedes he should first have gone to the 1,500-strong contingent that made the 140-mile round-trip to Cleethorpes.
The 24-year-old said: “It wasn’t that I didn’t appreciate the support. It was the fact I was upset with the result and I hope they can understand that.”
