‘PROJECT Blue Yonder’ looks to be gathering pace after Carlisle chief executive Nigel Clibbens told a fans’ forum the board had looked at two sites for a prospective new home. Brunton Park, the club’s home since 1909, is the largest non all-seater stadium in the country, with a capacity of 17,000.
In 2011, Carlisle stated their intention to leave but progress on developing a new 12,000 all-seater has been slow following their relegation to League Two in 2013-14.
