VERSATILE midfielder Carl Winchester is thriving in his new role at rightback for Cheltenham, particularly enjoying his link-up down the flank with Kevin Dawson.
The 24-year-old Northern Irishman has occupied the unfamiliar role for much of the season but claims the presence of 27- year-old Dawson has eased any transition.
“I will do a job anywhere on the pitch,” said Winchester. “I’m enjoying playing right-back and I have really clicked with Dawes this season.
“We get on really well away from football, too.”
