There is no doubt the pandemic threw a very hard punch at the football industry and particularly at lower league clubs.
Quite how all of our 72 EFL clubs have stayed solvent is a miracle and nobody should underestimate the challenges that many clubs must have faced, and are still probably facing, to have got to this point.

Football clubs have employment contracts with players which, on the one hand, give them great control but, on the other hand, give them limited flexibility.
