Mick Beale was almost certainly genuine when he talked of loyalty and integrity after rejecting Wolves last month.
But as his potential return to Rangers illustrates, Beale’s reasons for remaining at Loftus Road always had more to do with the unsuitability of Wolves than the pull of QPR.

If the 42-year-old had been sufficiently assured of his influence in recruitment and team selection at Molineux, and of the current squad’s ability to beat the drop, there is no way he’d have turned his back on the Premier League.
