It is not difficult to see why Wolves wanted to snatch Mick Beale away from QPR.
The Hoops’ improvement is conversely mirrored in the decline of Aston Villa, the club where Beale worked as assistant to Steven Gerrard prior to joining QPR this summer.

Nor, however, is it difficult to see why he stayed put. Accepted wisdom would have us believe that any manager offered a Premier League post would be out of the door in a flash.
