As well as criticism of increased added time, the recent PFA player survey also covered other issues such as post-season recovery time and player pitch safety.
On the lack of a sufficient summer break, the finding was that: “Three quarters of EFL players surveyed by the PFA survey said they felt players were not given a proper break between seasons.”

I know, it’s not a surprise that players want more holiday time, but there are genuine reasons behind it.
