It’s time for a rethink over kids’ old posts

THE FA have taken widespread criticism for their decision to punish Middlesbrough defender Marc Bola for a homophobic tweet he posted at the age of 14.
It is fully deserved, and must prompt a comprehensive rethink amongst sports authorities everywhere about the ethics of punishing historic social media posts.
Bola is not Ollie Robinson, the England cricketer banned for eight games over tweets made when he was 18.
