BLADES’ JERSEYS IN LEGION WINDFALL

SHEFFIELD United raised more than £6,000 for the Royal British Legion by auctioning signed shirts.
Matchday shirts from the Blades’ 4-1 win over Hull in November were sold at the Sky Bet Poppy Shirt Auction, via auction website CharityStars, with a total of £6,111 raised. The shirts of strikers Leon Clarke and Billy Sharp raised the most – £700 and £650 respectively – while the team raised an average of £359.
