Leeds make Grot 13th signing of the summer

United have completed the signing of young Dutch striker Jay-Roy Grot, who arrives from Jupiler League side NEC Nijmegen for an undisclosed fee.

's side had been making swift progress on the deal in the past few days, and have now signed the 19-year-old up on a four-year deal.

Grot already has 30 appearances in the Eredivisie, Holland's top flight, since his debut for the club in 2015. He can operate on the wing as well as through the middle and bagged six goals in 24 games last term.

He told Leeds's official website: “I am very happy, this is such a big club and this is a big step in my career, I am delighted to sign for .

“It has been my dream to play in and so to do that at a club like Leeds is really exciting.”

Grot will wear the number 11 shirt at Elland Road and joins fellow recruits such as Vurnon Anita, Samu Saiz and the returning Pontus Jansson in what's been a busy summer for the Yorkshire club.

He could make his debut for the Whites as soon as this weekend, when Leeds travel to play .
