Ling resigns at Swindon

has resigned as manager of Town, citing ‘health reasons' for his exit.

The 49-year-old was appointed on 3 November at the County Ground, his first role since leaving Torquay in April 2013 due to depression.

An advocate for mental health wellbeing, Ling said upon his arrival at the that his depression had ‘gone' and he was ‘really excited to restart a career'.

His new role at Swindon got off to a dream start with with five wins in six league games. His tenure, however, has lasted only 56 days with his last match in charge a 1-0 defeat to on Monday.

The former Swindon and Leyton midfielder leaves the club out 7 places higher in the league table than when he joined.
