Cowley on player hunt as U’s hit by injury crisis

COLCHESTER head coach Danny Cowley upped his hunt for additions after losing two influential players in the draw at Accrington Stanley.
Teddy Bishop only managed six minutes before injury forced him off and his replacement Jake Leake dislocated his shoulder just before half-time.
After these setbacks, Cowley was relatively happy with a point at the Wham Stadium despite his side going ahead after 24 minutes.
Jack Payne, who has the most assists on the opening day of the season since Opta records, now with six, played in a free-kick which Ellis Iandolo headed ed home....
