LEE Bonis’ first-ever goal in the competition secured Chesterfield a giant-killing victory at Stevenage to thrill first-team coach Gary Roberts.
Bonis scored the only goal just past the hour mark, converting a penalty awarded when Dan Sweeney inexplicably gave the ball away just outside his area and Carl Piergianni fouled Dilan Markanday.
