Teen star hungry to follow in Phillips’ footsteps

Archie Gray admits he dreams of emulating Kalvin Phillips as Leeds United bid to return to the Premier League.
Leeds-born Phillips was a pivotal figure when the Whites reached the top flight under Marcelo Bielsa after 16-year absence in 2020.
Now fellow graduate Gray academy is taking centre stage at Elland Road. The versatile 17-year-old, who made his debut under Daniel Farke in this season’s Championship opener at home to Cardiff, says Phillips’ success is a source of inspiration.
