You have to feel for the supporters of Wigan Athletic.
After ownership shenanigans resulted in the club heading into administration, being deducted 12 points and going on to be relegated from the Championship in 2020, it appeared the club were heading into a bright new era under new owners Phoenix 2021 Limited, led by Bahraini businessman Abdulrahman Al-Jasmi.
With Leam Richardson leading the Latics to promotion from League One last term, it brought a feelgood factor back to the club. However, this season has been a massive disappointment.
