Goal-line gaffe and VAR meddling cause of concern

Goal-line technology and VAR are everyday topics of conversation inside every club’s training ground.
Never more so than after the controversy at Huddersfield v Blackpool two weeks ago, when the ‘fool-proof’ goal-line decision system failed and a perfectly good equaliser from the Terriers was not given. Huddersfield eventually lost 1-0.
Goal-line technology provider Hawk-Eye have since apologised - and so they should. A malfunction of this magnitude is highly unacceptable in today’s modern football.
As for VAR, it is causing so many problems at the highest level.
