ONE of the most bizarre subplots to the current Championship season is the ostensibly senseless loan of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough to Nottingham Forest.
The 21-year-old made the switch in August, packed on his way by Neil Warnock with a brief to sort himself out. “I said to him ‘You can either go to the top or you can go to Non-League’,” said the 72-year-old, who was replaced by Chris Wilder in November.
