GARETH Ainsworth will extend his reign as the Football League’s longest serving manager after penning a new “longterm” contract at Wycombe.
The 46-year-old took charge in September 2012 and has led the Chairboys from League Two to League One, while they are currently in a promotion battle for a place in the Championship.
The announcement, which also includes a new contract for assistant manager Richard Dobson, comes just one week after businessman Rob Couhig bought Wycombe.
