COCU HAILS END OF A ‘TOUGH WEEK’

DERBY COUNTY manager Phillip Cocu breathed a sigh of relief after the Rams fi nished a turbulent week on a high note by beating Birmingham.
Cocu and owner Mel Morris spoke to fans before the game to apologise for the incident in which Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett were charged with drink driving and captain Richard Keogh suffered a season-ending knee injury.
On the pitch, Derby raced into a two-goal lead, but were then pegged back by the Blues. Rams keeper Kelle Roos then kept out a Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty before Jamie Paterson netted a 74th-minute winner.
