BECKFORD HANGS UP HIS BOOTS

FORMER Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford announced his retirement from football this week.
The 35-year-old, who had been at Bury since 2017, scored 85 goals in 152 matches for the Whites. He had a brief spell in the Premier League with Everton and also helped Preston win promotion from League One with a hat-trick in the 2015 play-off final win over Swindon Town.
