EVANS JOY AS THOMAS SIGNS UP

LEAGUE ONE
GILLINGHAM manager Steve Evans believes his patience has paid off with the signing of Southampton youngster Thomas O’Connor. The 20-year-old defender has joined on loan until January 1.
Evans said: “We have been patient and I’m delighted he has now signed. He’s strong, physical and can play anywhere on the left-hand side.”
O’Connor has been captain of Southampton’s Under-23s and recently agreed a new deal until the summer of 2021.
