CHAMPIONSHIP
READING have announced the appointment of Mark Bowen as the club’s sporting director.
The former Wales full-back, 55, finished last season as a technical consultant at the Madejski Stadium after joining in March.
In his new role, Bowen will now be “responsible for all football operations at the club”.
Reading chief executive Nigel Howe said: “Mark proved a valuable asset to the first team structure when he joined us at the end of last season and he has been working from within our first team and academy operations.
