Caretaker Duncan’s refusing to give up

A CHANGE of management failed to spark Southend United into life at Roots Hall as fellow strugglers Shrewsbury Town claimed a much-needed win.
The Shrimpers parted company with manager Chris Powell during the week, with Ricky Duncan named as caretaker boss.
However, Duncan – the Shrimpers’ head of academy – has urged the players to keep on giving their all as they bid to beat the drop.
