DAVID Holdsworth thinks that youth could hold the key to Carlisle’s future.
The Cumbrians’ director of football wants to see local youngsters come through the club’s academy and boost the first-team squad.
“What we want in an ideal situation is to be bringing as many of our academy players through as possible,” Holdsworth said.
“Something I spoke about when I first came to the club was that we wanted to create our own DNA and identity. One of the ways of doing that is by bringing through good young players.”
