MAGUIRE BLOW FOR BLACK CATS

SUNDERLAND have been dealt a blow after Chris Maguire was ruled out for up to eight weeks through injury.
The 30-year-old suffered a fractured fibula during the midweek win against Gillingham and, although he looks set to avoid surgery, the Scot still faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“Chris will be out for between six and eight weeks,” said manager Jack Ross. “Hopefully it’s towards the six, but he has another appointment next week to confirm he doesn’t need any surgery.
