SHEFFIELD Wednesday manager Steve Bruce is encouraged by Sam Winnall’s progress towards match fitness, but admits the forward remains “a few weeks away”.
Winnall, 28, was out for eight months with a serious knee ligament injury suffered on loan at Derby last season and, after four substitute appearances around the new year, was sidelined again by a hamstring problem.
