VASSELL MAKES INJURY RETURN

RETURNING: Isaac Vassell

BIRMINGHAM City striker Isaac Vassell finally made his long-awaited return to action this week following 14 months on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury.
The former Luton Town frontman scored twice in the Blues U23s’ victory over Barnsley, which was his first game since injuring a knee in the 0-0 draw with archrivals Aston Villa in late October 2017.
The 25-year-old felt no reaction to the injury and has now set his sights on working his way back into contention for the first team at St Andrew’s.
