Ross jubilant after fifth straight victory

MANAGER Jack Ross praised his soaraway Sunderland side’s patience as they notched a fifth successive league win, brushing aside Plymouth to go second.
Ross said: “The boys have been good for me this season and at the moment they are churning out results, which is a terrific place to be.”
Aiden McGeady scored twice in the second half to seal Sunderland’s success. He swept home a superb shot on the run in the 53rd minute and doubled his tally from the penalty spot in the 78th.
