STOKE boss Gary Rowett has described the loss of winger James McClean as “a big blow”.
The 29-year-old broke his arm while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and will be out of action for up to six weeks.
“It’s a big blow, but it will provide an opportunity for someone else to come in,” Rowett said.
Sam Clucas is also sidelined for the Potters after undergoing knee surgery earlier this summer.
