LEROY Fer is relishing his role as Swansea’s new skipper.
The 28-year-old midfielder made his first start in more than six months when Leeds visited the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night, and it was a proud occasion for the Dutchman.
“I was very happy to have finally started a game again after a long injury lay-off”, said Fer, who has battled back from a ruptured Achilles.
“It was even better to do it in front of the home fans, and I was very proud to lead the team out as captain.
