WHITE’S BACKING BROWN…

SWINDON legend Steve White has defended manager Phil Brown, despite falling short of a promotion push.
The Robins lost boss David Flitcroft to Mansfield in March and former Southend manager Brown has been unable to lead them to the play-offs.
But White, who played 300 times for Swindon, would like to see Brown stay next season.
He said: “It would have been the same for any manager coming in.
“It has been difficult. Both the chairman and Phil have had time to have a look at each other and I am sure there will be discussions.”
