ELLIOTT Bennett’s versatility has been a godsend for Blackburn, according to Tony Mowbray.
The Ewood Park chief is currently unable to say when full-back Ryan Nyambe will return, with the 20-year-old Namibian out of action since the beginning of March with a hamstring injury.
However, in recent weeks, Mowbray has been able to call on 29-year-old winger Bennett to deputise at right-back and is glad his title-chasing team are flexible enough to roll with the punches.
“Elliott has done well at right-back,” said the Rovers manager.
