BLACKBURN hung on desperately for what proved to be another massively hardearned victory against gutsy Southend, leaving Tony Mowbray ecstatic at how his team just seem to find a way to win.
That is a quality you badly need when fighting in a division like League One, which is so, so competitive.
This correspondent reckons Rovers will be celebrating automatic promotion come the end of the season, and yesterday’s clash will have been pivotal in sealing the deal.
Southend, meanwhile, showed they can make big progress next year under the respected Chris Powell.
