NIGEL Adkins was only too happy to escape with a win after a crazy game saw Hull claim a much-needed three points to go six clear of the drop zone.
Referee Tim Robinson gave an incredible four penalties in this seven-goal thriller. James Maddison’s first-half hat-trick – two of which came from the spot – put Norwich 3-1 ahead after Jackson Irvine’s early opener for Hull, before Abel Hernandez scored two penalties of his own.
