AFTER a performance of real star quality in the victory over Exeter, it was easy to see why Ipswich Town fans lamented the loaning to Luton of midfielder Flynn Downes on transfer deadline day.
The Tractor Boys’ loss is the Hatters’ gain as the 19-year-old excelled on his debut. He was the catalyst for a one-sided contest and he rarely had to dip into his combative bag of tricks, instead treating Kenilworth Road to a virtuoso passing display that set him to be a cut, quite significantly, above League Two.
