THE bandwagon rolls on. Shrewsbury were just about everyone’s pre-season tips for relegation but this energetic and clever side crafted by Paul Hurst have turned heads.
This victory, ground out at a fast-improving Oldham, represents a sign that this may not be a team who will simply fade away.
Match Verdict
Defensively solid and with an appetite for hard running in midfield, in Stefan Payne the Shrews have a sprightly goalgetter.
Wigan have been seen off. Next up, Blackburn. Don’t bet against them.
