Steve Evans says he will take inspiration from Crawley Town’s famous run to the FA Cup fifth round when Stevenage travel to Villa Park today.
Boro boss Evans, 60, was at the helm in 2010-11 when the Red Devils beat Swindon, Derby and Torquay to become only the sixth Non-League club in history to reach the last 16.
There they faced Alex Ferguson’s mighty Manchester United and came within a whisker of an upset before losing 1-0 at Old Trafford to a side who later that season took on Barcelona in the Champions League final.
