Sub rule needs fresh look – Clough

Mansfield Town boss Nigel Clough believes a rethink is needed over substitution rules after his side’s injury woes at Bradford last week.
Clough used his three opportunities to make in-game changes before the break, with Louis Reed, Rhys Oates and Callum Johnson all forced off.
The only changes he was allowed to make after that were at half-time.
It meant he had to act early to replace Stephen Quinn and Kieran Wallace, who he said were not likely to last another 45 minutes.
Despite all the problems, Alfie Kilgour’s injury-time goal ear ned the Stags a point.
