GOALKEEPER Jack Walton hopes to “show what I can do” for Barsnely in their remaining games.
After getting some game-time for the Tykes, the 24-year-old is determined to take his chance and make an impact as the campaign draws to a close.
Walton said: “Obviously, on a personal note it's great to be back out there playing. I've not had much game-time in the last 12 months.
“At the end of the day, we know, as goalkeepers, that it's part and parcel of football. I'm in a position where only one person can play.
“You can't be a utility goalkeeper and play in another position.
Barnsley stopped Walton added: “You're either in the team or you're not. And that's something that's happened throughout my career, where I'm in and then back out. It's the life of a goalkeeper.
“Every game is another opportunity for every player to show their qualities, me included. So I can hopefully show what I can do in the remaining games.
“I'm happy with my performances when I've had a chance this season.
“And in previous seasons, every time I've gone out there, I feel like I've given it my all and done well.
“I trust in my own ability, and all I'm focused on are the next games.”
