Chris Wood’s Birmingham City decision showed drive

Chris Hughton says being snubbed by Chris Wood convinced him the New Zealand striker was destined for the top.
The 33-year-old is currently enjoying the season of his life, with 17 Premier League goals for high-flying Nottingham Forest.
Only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Liverpool’s Mo Salah have scored more.
As a teenager on loan from West Bromwich Albion, Wood spent the first half of the 2011-12 campaign with Hughton at Birmingham City.
He was widely expected to return to the club for another six months after plundering nine Championship goals.
