Jepson Handed Bury Reins Until 2014

BURY have appointed Ronnie Jepson as their caretaker manager until January 2014.

The Shakers sacked Kevin Blackwell earlier this month following a poor start to the League Two season and a searching for a permanent successor.

However, they are keen now to rush the appointment and have subsequently handed Jepson the reins until the turn of the year.

A statement on the club’s website said: “This does allow the club to allow the dust to settle and assess the situation without being forced into any knee jerk reactions.
“The situation has been muddied by the amount of bizarre press and social media speculation linking the club with a variety of managers and potentially unsettling the players.
“The past two games have demonstrated to us that the players have the desire to play for Ronnie and the fans and get out of the lowly league position.
“We do support Ronnie 100% and feel that the backroom team and the players echo his obvious drive and passion to succeed at this Club.
“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with him to make sure that we deliver on the pitch.”
