Stoke City sign Oghenekaro Etebo

have began laying the foundations for next season as new manager attempts to guide the Staffordshire club back to the promised land of the at the first time of asking.

The Potter have completed the signing of Nigeria international Oghenekaro Etebo  from Portuguese side Feirense.

The 22-year-old spent the latter part of last season on loan at Las Palmas, where he was unable to stop the Tenerife side from dropping out of La Liga.

Speaking to the club's official website, manager said, ““We're really excited to have got the deal over the line for Etebo. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a Stoke City shirt as I'm sure our supporters are too.”

The midfielder has been capped 14 times for Nigeria and is in the squad for this summer's World Cup.
