Relegation threatened League Two side Morecambe have been taken over by London-based Bong Groups Investments Limited.
The firm have bought a majority shareholding of the club from former parent company G50 Holdings Limited.
In a statement on Morecambe's official club website, Chairman Peter McGuigan said, “We are very pleased to confirm this transaction and look forward to a period of sustained stability and growth within the Club.
“On behalf of the Board I would like to thank everyone connected to the Club for their patience and outstanding contribution during a difficult period for all concerned over the last few months.'
The news comes ahead of a vital week for the football club as Morecambe battle to keep their Football League status. The Shrimps currently have their heads just above water in the League Two relegation battle and are two points ahead of 23rd-place Barnet with just one game left to play.
Morecambe face a tough trip to Coventry this weekend, while Martin Allen's Barnet will fancy their chances of success against already relegated Chesterfield.
