Hartlepool United midfielder Michael Woods has signed a new contract with the League Two side.
Woods joined Hartlepool in 2014 and has put in a number of sterling performances over the past two years despite suffering a number of injuries.
The 26-year-old made 37 appearances last season as Hartlepool finished in 16th place in League Two.
Pools manager Craig Hignett told the club's official website,“Michael is a terrific player and I am delighted we have managed to get him sorted,” Hignett said.
“He's an important player for us and he is exactly the type of character you want at a football club so I think it's great news.
“I know Michael is excited by what is happening at the Club and wants to be part of that so we're really pleased we've been able to agree this longer contract.”
