Deadline Day Recap: Coventry’s James Maddison moves to Norwich

It was a race against time but City managed to get James Maddison's transfer from over the line just before the January transfer window closed last night.

Maddison has joined the Canaries for an undisclosed fee and will return to the Ricoh Arena for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old broke into the Coventry first team last season and has since made 30 appearances for the club where he has won plenty of plaudits.

Norwich manager told the club's official website,”We're delighted to sign James as he is a fantastic prospect who has already made a mark at Coventry at such a young age.

“He has real potential to develop, making this deal one we're really pleased to get over the line.
