MK Dons manager Karl Robinson will continue to take charge of the club next season, despite their disappointing relegation to League One.
Chairman Pete Winkelman was previously unsure on whether Robinson would remain in place but the MK Dons owner has expressed his confidence in the 35-year old manager.
“I'm comfortable in saying that Karl will be the manager next season because he wants to be,” said Winkelman. “If he wants it and he's got that drive, ambition then he understands the club so much better than someone else.”
The Dons sit in 23rd place in the Championship with their League One fate for next season already decided, but Winkelman appears to have still installed his full trust in English football's third-longest serving boss.
He told BBC Look East: “(Karl( already has a promotion out of League One and he's somebody that when we make mistakes, we make them honestly and ultimately, I trust him.”
