Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has brought in former Derby defender Paul Williams as his new first-team coach.
Williams made 160 appearances for Derby and played 169 games for Coventry before finishing his career in the United States with Richmond Kickers in 2005.
The 44-year old was Lee Carsley's assistant at Brentford and has worked with the England under 16 and under 19 squads.
Forest have had a difficult start to the season and are currently sitting in 15th place in the Championship table following Monday's 0-0 draw at Ewood Park.
Freedman's side face MK Dons at the City Ground on Saturday.
