Goalkeeper
Wojciech Szczesny – Arsenal
He was on loan with us for six months, and I roomed with him. He was a fantastic shot stopper – and a bit crazy once he took his gloves off. He would show me videos of the stuff he got up too when he went back to Poland every weekend. He had a whale of a time!

Andy Frampton – AFC Wimbledon
He's a good mate of mine, so I've got to put him in. We formed a good back four along with Michael Turner and Sam Sodje and kept a lot of clean sheets.
Centre back
Michael Turner – Norwich City
He's a quiet lad off the pitch but on it he's a top class defender and he would put his body on the line week in week out. He's a fantastic, tall, classic centre half, and you could see his talent early on. I knew that if he got his head switched on he would move up the leagues, and he has.
Centre back
Harlee Dean – Brentford
A current team-mate of mine, he's tall, strong and fast and plays a bit like John Terry. He wins his headers really well. Player of the season last year, he's got everything you need in a centre half.
Left back
Sam Sodje – Portsmouth
He was in the back four the year we reached the play-offs and was rightly in team of the year that season too. He scored some cracking goals too and his crazy hairstyles went hand in hand with his character.
Right midfield
Sam Saunders – Brentford
He was our set-piece taker, and likes to model himself on David Beckham, a poor man's David Beckham if anything! But he is a free-kick expert and his deliveries are fantastic. I have found myself trying to get on the end of them numerous times.
Central midfield
Jay Tabb – Ipswich Town
Another ex-team-mate from Brentford. Technically he's excellent, and you could tell from an early age he was going to be very good. He had that bulldog attitude and would work his socks off for 90 minutes.

Adam Forshaw – Brentford
My current team-mate, he's always one step ahead of the game, he reads the play extremely well and is another very technical player who has always stood out. I'm sure he'll go on to bigger things.
Left midfield
Stephen Hunt – Reading
He was like a big kid on and off the pitch. He got excited very easily and then his broad Irish accent was incomprehensible. He always had lots of energy and that was reflected on and off the pitch. He had a great delivery and was always looking to create chances.
Striker
Alan Shearer – Retired
The best centre forward of his time. I only played against him for ten minutes in a cup game back in 2001 but he's definitely got to be in there. He had a presence on the pitch that meant you just knew he was going to score and that's why so many people idolised him.

Lloyd Owusu – White City FC (Australia)
He was someone who was always in the right place at the right time, he just had that natural striker's instinct. I've seen him score goals off his bum – he was just that kind of a player.
