manager was left disappointed at the actions of supporters during the Whites victory at Turf Moor last night.

Dyche felt that the Leeds fans meted out an uncalled for amount of abuse to their former players Charlie and , who both left Elland Road for Burnley this summer.

Wood has spoken in the past few days about the treatment he received from fans while he was a Leeds player, and neither he nor Taylor will have expected a warm welcome from the travelling Whites faithful.

However, the relentlessness of the chanting left something to be desired in Dyche's eyes: “It's a strange business, ,” the 46-year-old said.

“Twenty-odd million they've made for a club and they get slaughtered. I don't know any more how fans react to players, ex-players, all that stuff, but that's football now.

“Those two have been fantastic servants to Leeds, if I'm honest – but Woody has done fantastically, walking on to our pitch and scoring, and again in the shoot-out.”

Wood levelled the game for Burnley late on when his penalty cancelled out Hadi Sacko's opener, only for Pablo Hernandez to put Leeds back in front from 12 yards out. However, Robbie Brady's sublime free kick in the 96th minute sent the game to extra time and penalties, which Leeds won.
