manager has extended his stay with the club today by signing a new three-year deal at Meadow Lane.

The former and stalwart undertook his second managerial position with the in January after a short stint as player-manager at Leyton , arriving in conjunction with new chairman and owner Alan Hardy.

Nolan lead the club to League safety last season and has overseen a fantastic start this year, with Notts County currently sitting in second in the table after winning their last four matches.

Speaking in a press conference this afternoon Nolan said: “I just want to say thank you to Alan. He has been first class since we met. We hit it off immediately.

“I was confident of keeping the club up and getting it into a stable position this year so we can kick on in the future. This club is a sleeping giant with the history and facilities, we want to get it to where we feel it belongs but do it the right way.

“This is a club going places and the lads see that. We are on the up and we are going to be successful. I have fantastic staff here who make things easier for me – we can all learn from each other and get better.

“It felt right to come here. The next job after was the most important – you have to pick your owner rather than your club.”
